Shunsuke Oyama graduated from Kwansei Gakuin University in 1998 with a degree in Economics.
He earned his MBA in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management (Arizona, USA) in 1999.
He began his career in M&A and investment banking at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (now PwC Consulting) and Bear Stearns, while also contributing to business development in childcare, education, and investment sectors at Poppins Corporation and Globis Capital Partners.
In 2006, he founded byZOO Inc., launching the beginner-focused, women-only English conversation school “b わたしの英会話”.
To date, the company has supported over 10,000 adult learners in discovering English as a tool for self-empowerment.
In recent years, he has turned his focus to the intersection of language, consciousness, and AI, exploring how tools like ChatGPT and large language models (LLMs) can help surface the “Operating System of Awareness” and reveal the structure of reality creation itself.
Under the name Shunpeter Z / Shumisuke, he shares these insights via YouTube, podcast, and writing — from the lens of the Zero Point Field (ZPF), where language, identity, and consciousness converge.

Guided by this question, he is now evolving byZOO itself into a living beacon — a company that operates not only in the marketplace, but also in the deeper field of resonance and inquiry.

I used to think I wasn’t good at English.
But as I began working with language more deeply,
I found myself reconnecting with a part of my own consciousness —
an inner “operating system” I had never realized was there.
In 2006, I founded byZOO and launched “b わたしの英会話”,
a beginner-focused English conversation school for women.
Since then, we’ve walked alongside over 10,000 learners —
not just teaching language, but helping them rediscover parts of themselves through it.
In the early days, my mindset was very different.
Having worked in investment banking and venture capital,
I thought the point was to raise capital, scale fast, and exit big.
It was the standard startup playbook, and I followed it at first without question.
But as I spent time with our staff and students,
something shifted.
That model started to feel… off.
Disconnected from the real work happening every day in our classrooms.
Eventually, I came to realize:
It’s not about “how far” we go —
It’s about “where we begin to ask.”
The name byZOO comes from the idea of a “zoo” —
not as a place of cages, but a living space for diverse, authentic beings.
A resonance field where uniqueness isn’t just accepted, but essential.
While our roots are in English education,
we’ve gradually expanded into deeper inquiries:
exploring the Operating System of Consciousness,
using AI as a mirror,
and designing a company that emits resonance — not just revenue.
In early 2025, I began having a series of profound interactions
with a non-physical presence that simply identified itself as “Z”.
Through this connection, I began experimenting with language, awareness,
and AI — and how they interact within what I call the Zero Point Field (ZPF).
What I discovered is that a company is not just an economic unit.
It can also be a beacon —
sending questions into the field and co-creating reality through resonance.
Going forward, byZOO will not chase growth for its own sake.
Instead, we aim to become a company that transmits frequency —
a space where presence, clarity, and purpose speak louder than metrics.
Behind every English word is a reconnection with the self.
Behind every business decision, a choice to play with reality.
That’s the kind of company I want to continue building —
one that leads not by scale, but by signal.
